Privacy Policy

StoreGlance watches the App Store's public storefront pages and tells you when an app you track is featured. It needs almost nothing about you to do that, and this policy says exactly what it keeps.
The short version
- No email, no password, no sign-up. The app creates an anonymous account for your watchlist on first use.
- What we store for you: the apps you chose to watch, and a push token so we can notify you.
- Featuring and chart data is public App Store information, collected once and shared by every user of the app; none of it is about you.
- Anonymous usage analytics (which screens are opened, how often) tied to a random install id, never to a person.
- No advertising, no tracking across apps, no sale of data.
What we keep, and why
Your watchlist. The App Store ids of the apps you track, marked as yours or a competitor's, stored under an anonymous account that has no email or name attached. Removing an app from the list deletes it; signing out in Settings erases the account.
A push token. If you allow notifications, Apple issues a device token that lets us send you one when a tracked app appears on a shelf. Turning notifications off in iOS Settings, or signing out, removes it.
Public App Store data. The Today, Apps and Games fronts of the App Store's storefronts are read by our servers every day, the way a browser would. Placements and chart positions are kept per app, not per user, and are the same for everyone who tracks that app.
Analytics
The app sends anonymous usage events (for example that the paywall was shown, or that an app was added) to AppGlance, an analytics service we operate. They carry a random install identifier and no personal data, are not used for advertising, and are never linked to your identity. Debug builds send nothing.
Subscriptions & purchases
StoreGlance is a paid subscription or a one-time unlock. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. Entitlements are verified through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous customer id and the purchase record so the app can unlock on your other devices. An RCKit subscription can be linked to include StoreGlance, in which case the two apps share that anonymous account.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, regardless of age.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
