Privacy Policy

Last updated 28 September 2026 · Applies to Push-Ups, Sit-Ups, Pull-Ups, and Squats by Ludyem (together, "the apps").

We build the apps so that your data stays on your device. We don't run servers that collect your personal information, we don't require an account, and we don't track you. This policy explains exactly what that means.

The short version

• No account, no sign-up, no email required.
• We don't collect, store, or sell your personal data.
• Your workout history lives on your device (and in your own iCloud, if enabled).
• Camera and sound rep counting run entirely on your iPhone. Frames and audio are never recorded or uploaded.
• A few anonymous usage events go to Ludyem's own analytics service, tied to a random install id and never to you.
• No third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

Information we do not collect

The apps have no backend that receives your data. We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, device identifiers for tracking, or your health and fitness data. Because there is no account system, there is nothing for us to log you into and nothing for us to store about you.

Health & fitness data

With your permission, the apps integrate with Apple Health:

• Reading: optionally, basic profile characteristics (such as biological sex, date of birth, height, and body mass) to personalise your plan.
• Writing: the workouts you complete, so your effort counts toward your activity rings and the rest of your Health data.

This data is managed by Apple Health on your device and is governed by Apple's privacy protections. The apps never transmit your Health data off your device. You can review or revoke these permissions any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.

Camera

Push-Ups and Sit-Ups offer optional camera-based rep detection. When you enable it, the camera feed is processed live and entirely on-device using Apple's Vision framework to detect movement. Video frames are not saved, not stored, and never leave your iPhone. The camera is only active while you are on the counting screen with detection enabled.

Microphone

Sit-Ups, Pull-Ups and Squats can count reps by sound: say the number, clap or grunt, and each loud-enough sound counts one rep. The apps only measure how loud the sound is, on your iPhone. There is no speech recognition, nothing is recorded or saved, and no audio ever leaves your iPhone. The microphone is only on while you are counting a set with sound counting switched on.

Anonymous usage analytics

The apps include Ludyem's own privacy-first analytics service, built and operated by us. App Store builds send a small set of anonymous usage events (for example that a workout was started or finished) so we can see which features are used and keep improving the apps.

• Events are tied to a randomly generated identifier stored in your device's Keychain. It is created on install, identifies only this installation, and is never linked to your name, email, Apple Account or any other identity.
• No health or fitness data is ever included.
• Location is limited to your device's region setting (country only). We never read GPS or derive a location from your network address.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not use the data for advertising.

Data stored on your device

Your sets, records, streaks, plan progress, and preferences are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud, this data may sync across your own Apple devices via your private iCloud account, which is encrypted by Apple and not accessible to us.

Subscriptions & purchases

The apps may offer an optional Pro subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store — we never see your payment details. Apple shares only anonymous, aggregated transaction information with us so we can confirm entitlements. Subscription management and receipts are handled in your Apple account.

Children

The apps are not directed at children under 13 and do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
