Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Runway ("the App"), provided by Ludyem AS ("Developer"). By downloading or using Runway you agree to these Terms. The same terms are available inside the app under Settings → About → Terms of Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Runway. By using the App you represent that you are 13 or older. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App. The Developer reserves the right to terminate access for any user found to be under 13.

2. Licence

The Developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Runway on devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's App Store terms.

3. Not financial advice: important disclaimer

Runway is an educational planning and projection tool. It is NOT financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and the Developer is not a financial adviser, broker, or regulated financial institution. Runway does not recommend any specific investment, product, or course of action.

Every number Runway shows, your freedom age, your freedom number, the levers, projections, and Monte Carlo plan-health scores, is an estimate generated from the inputs and assumptions you provide. Projections rely on assumptions about returns, inflation, and the future that will not hold exactly. Investment returns are uncertain and past performance is not a guarantee of future results. Simulated outcomes are illustrative, not predictions.

Tax and country-specific figures are income-year-stamped estimates compiled from public sources. They may be incomplete, may change, and are not tax advice. Verify any figure that matters against primary sources or a qualified professional before relying on it.

You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. Do not make, change, or delay an investment, retirement, relocation, or tax decision solely because of something Runway showed you. Always consult a qualified, licensed professional who knows your full circumstances.

4. Your inputs

Runway works entirely from the figures you enter; it does not connect to your bank, brokerage, or any account, and it cannot verify your inputs. The accuracy and usefulness of any output depends on the accuracy of what you provide. The Developer is not responsible for results that follow from inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date inputs.

5. Purchases

Runway Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Free trials, where offered, apply to new subscribers only; any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions via Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
• Refunds are governed exclusively by Apple's refund policy, see reportaproblem.apple.com.

Lifetime purchase: A one-time lifetime purchase grants access to Runway Pro features for as long as the App remains available on the App Store. A lifetime purchase does not guarantee perpetual availability of the App or any specific feature (see section 11).

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; use it for any unlawful purpose; attempt to circumvent purchase validation or security measures; or rely on the App as a substitute for professional financial, tax, or legal advice.

7. Intellectual property

All rights in and to Runway, including its code, design, planning engine, and content, are owned by the Developer. Your use of the App grants no ownership or intellectual property rights.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. The Developer does not warrant that the App's calculations, tax figures, or projections are accurate, complete, or current.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, nor for any financial loss, lost profits, lost savings, tax liability, or investment loss, arising from your use of the App or your reliance on any number, projection, lever, or simulation it provides. This limitation applies even if the Developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ludyem AS and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Norway, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.

12. App discontinuation

The Developer reserves the right to discontinue, modify, or remove Runway or any of its features at any time, with or without notice, subject to applicable law. In the event of discontinuation, the Developer will endeavour to provide reasonable advance notice. No refund is guaranteed for lifetime purchases in the event of discontinuation, except where required by applicable law or Apple's refund policy.

13. Apple's terms

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms and Conditions and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. In the event of a conflict, Apple's terms take precedence for matters within Apple's platform.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

15. Changes

The Developer may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
