Dahwave support
Dahwave helps you pass your amateur radio licence exam: the US Technician, General and Amateur Extra question pools and Germany's Amateurfunkprüfung (classes N, E and A), with a study path, mock exams, band plans, a formula trainer and a circuit-symbol reader. It is an independent app, not affiliated with the FCC, the NCVEC or the Bundesnetzagentur.
Which exams does Dahwave cover?
In the US: Technician (Element 2, the 2026-2030 pool), General (Element 3, 2023-2027) and Amateur Extra (Element 4, 2024-2028). In Germany: classes N, E and A, from the Bundesnetzagentur's catalogue, 3rd edition, for exams since 24 June 2024. Pick your country and licence class when you first open the app, or later in Station › Country.
Where do the questions come from?
The US questions are the NCVEC Question Pool Committee's pools, which are in the public domain; Germany's are the Bundesnetzagentur's published catalogue, under the Datenlizenz Deutschland – Namensnennung 2.0. Dahwave shows them word for word. Germany's catalogue prints the right answer first, so Dahwave shuffles the order of the answers. Station › Sources and licences names each source.
Why are some questions missing?
Questions that need a figure, and in Germany's catalogue also those with a formula the app can't show yet, are left out until it can: 45 of the 1,431 US questions and 575 of Germany's 1,750. Station › Sources and licences says how many are left out for the country you study. The band plans, the formula trainer and the symbol reader cover much of the same ground.
Does Dahwave need an internet connection?
No. Both countries' questions are inside the app and everything works offline. When a pool changes, an update of Dahwave brings the new one.

Thank you. Tap the flag on the answer sheet, or Station › Report a problem: Mail opens with an email to us already written. We never change the official questions or answers, because they are what the exam asks, but we tell you what we found and fix anything that is ours.

Welche Prüfungen deckt Dahwave ab?
In Deutschland die Amateurfunkprüfung für die Klassen N, E und A, nach dem Fragenkatalog der Bundesnetzagentur, 3. Auflage, für Prüfungen seit dem 24. Juni 2024.
Warum fehlen manche Fragen?
